For some time I have been using this Chi-Rho emblem:

to symbolize the Christian 4GW. The original design was by James Greece of Catholic and Loving It, with a minor change by Lexington Green of Chicago Boyz.

I found the original graphic on a now-defunkt clipart page, so I am grateful to James for letting me know of the image's original location, and its use as part of his wedding services company. (As a newlywed myself, I can appreciate his work!)

As long as the subject is Christian symbolism, I also wanted to point out "It's Christmas! Let's be glad!" by Sufjan Stevens. Sufjan describes his church as "kind of Anglo-Catholic," so the Christian and Marian themes shouldn't be surprising.

Dashanzi 798 Arts District

The day of my medical tourism, Lady of tdaxp and I visited the Dashanzi 798 Arts District, the "it" place for the "it" crowd in Beijing. 大山子 is a curiosity, because the openness it reveals is a product of the new China, but it may soon be turned down to make way for that other aspect of connectivity, openness, and economic freedom: a real estate boom.

So join us, and take a quick tour of the interesting, political, provocative, and downright strange modern art that has finally landed in China. While I prefer more traditional fair, you won't be disappointed...

For years he has made chainmail fashion accessories as an artisan, and he has now launched his website, Chainmaille Oddities, to help him expand his reach.

Some are already familiar with the wonder of "South Dakota Stories" -- tales with no final conclusion that prove no point and teach no lesson. Reacting to a "South Dakota story" that involved simultaneously insulting and praising a friend through text messages, my fellow residents reacted thusly

Dave: "That story has no moral and no point. I want those three minutes of my life back."
Cecilia: "Canadians have no patience in this particular case."

Considering that I just ripped of our mutual friend Joe for his shot of the badlands, it seems appropriate to give a visual shout-out to the portraiture of friend and fellow South Dakotan Josh Wilcoxon

Another one of my great models showing us her curves. What I love most about this picture is that the light I used perfectly bounces where I wanted it too. I have to say that she had about the best skin that I have ever shot. Why did I leave the seams colored on the panties and corsett??? Its just wrapping people...I just wanted the mind to follow the lines..it also looks great in just black and white...but I have a thing for color in most of my black and white shots...I know it can be overused...but if you use it right in most contexts...it really adds...thanks for viewing
