Got another letter from the lawyer today

After admitting to sitting on our case because it wasn't a priority for him, our lawyer issued CYA snowflakes in October and November. Then a time of quiet. And now a bill.

The billing is mostly reasonable, though his use of euphemisms followed by (NO CHARGE) in much of it is interesting.

After Lady of tdaxp's Adjustment of Status interview is taken care of, I'm not sure of the best way to proceed. But I don't want him to hurt and extort other couples and he's hurt and extorted us.

Sigh, lawyers

Dumb question time. Have you complained to your state's BAR association about this guy?

Catholicgauze,

Too bad for his profession that they're associated with this gy.

Michael,

Until at least Lady of tdaxp's Adjustment of Status interview, we are worried about retaliation. DHS has a "Deny without appeal" view of anything a $9/hour temp worker views as out of the ordinary, and going through this process from the beginning (even it were possible) would be a possibility, given the way this thug's retaliated in the past.
