As I'm on all three, I think I can say this safely:
Facebook: For when you're too smart for MySpace, but too dumb for LinkedIn.

More seriously, I've only ever used (as opposed to played with) only two of the web 2.0 properties: LinkedIn and del.icio.us. Of the two, delicious is far more useful. It's tagging and search capabilities, especially in the del.icio.us for Firefox extension, would be worth it even if there was no "social" aspect at all. I find "popular tags" to be particularly useful, because it saves me those mental clicks in deciding how to categorize a useful page.

i disagree about 'too dumb for LinkedIn'. that could be part of it, but Facebook is also just more fun.

Slahdot [1] linked to an article "Viewing American class divisions through Facebook and Myspace" [2]. Apparently, I am a snob. The best quote, after flipping through it:
"A month ago, the military banned MySpace but not Facebook. This was a very interesting move because the division in the military reflects the division in high schools. Soldiers are on MySpace; officers are on Facebook. Facebook is extremely popular in the military, but it's not the SNS of choice for 18-year old soldiers, a group that is primarily from poorer, less educated communities. They are using MySpace. The officers, many of whom have already received college training, are using Facebook. "
