Expanding horizontally, not atrophying vertically
A good day today, as the grad chair allowed me to skip the "Research Methods" (really: statistics) class, which is a vertical knowledge domain where
a. i don't care
b. i know it already
c. going to class would interfer with every college student's dream of having a three day weekend
so instead i'm taking "human cognition and instruction," an astoundingly fascinating class is horizontally very useful
also i'm naturally typing in lowercase now -- what's up with this?

You'll have to give us the gist on any good stuff the prof throws your way Dan.
And start reading the Neurolearning Blog, should help you wax profound in the seminar.

Shout out to People's Dan! I didn't know my Soldier of the Year / high-powered contractor friend still bothered to read this old thing. Thanks for the comment!
Mark, do you mean the neurolearning blog at http://eideneurolearningblog.blogspot.com/? Because of time constraints I'm down to you and one other site for daily checking, but I'll try to muscle it in.
Blogging has helped me so much here, it is incredible. I am thankful for everything.

Hey Dan,
That's the one. Qualitatively, the best of the best. Most of their posts have peer-reviewed journal links so you can begin your sentences with " New research in ...fill-in-the-journal....tells us that...." :O)
